| Ros Lewis, Hi everyone, I am 48 years old (almost an adult now) and am a fully registered social worker for New Zealand's statutory child welfare agency, Child, Youth and Family. I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up, so marched off to Massey University in Palmerston North, NZ and completed a batchelor of social work with honours. I am currently endevouring to complete a Masters and am in my first year of this. I am the senior social worker in very small rural office and am currently 'Acting Supervisor' for my usual supervisor who is on Pitcairn Island doing a tour of duty social working the community over there. I have two students currently placed in our office for 3 months and am thoroughly enjoying supervising them, just as I am enjoying supervising my other colleagues. Our team is very 'anti' uplifting of children from their families and try very hard to work with the family instead of against them. Most of us here in our office are of a similar age, the youngest being 42 to eldest being 65.
