Angelo M'Tair, Hello. My name is Angelo. I was born in Australia but I lived most of my life in France. Next year I'll be coming to Australia for good. The only thing is, that I really need to improve my English and become familiar with the Australian organizations of social work to be able to work in the field. I have a uni degree: bachelor of social work in France and a few different experiences as a social worker: 1) I worked in jail supporting people with mental and addictive troubles (5 months); 2) I also had to deal with hyperactive kids in an specialized institution (3 months); 3) I've worked for child welfare and families ( 9 months); 4) I'm currently working with adolescents with serious troubles (justice, family, school...) ( 15 months). I need advice, that's why I want to get in contact with an Australian professional who could help me. Please e-mail me at mtairangelo@hotmail.com

Jane Otto, I am a first year Social Work student on the degree programme at Oxford Brookes University. My area of interest (although I have been told by tutors that this will probably change as I learn more about the different areas of Social Work) is adult mental health and dementia care, as these are areas that have hit my family over the past few years. Nina Hagenauer, I am studying "Social Work" in Austria at the University for Applied Sciences in St. Poelten, and will enter the third semester in autumn this year. At present I am looking for an internship in the USA for the 4th semester starting in Feb.09-May09 (with a duration of 12 weeks). Before I decided to go back to University I had a lot of possibilities to gain some work experience, especially with children and juveniles. As an example: I completed my professional ballet education at the age of 21 years, and after that I got the opportunity to teach children from 6 to 18 years. It was quite challenging, but very exciting as well. I have always felt and still feel connected to juveniles, and it seems that most of them feel the same way about me, too. A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take part in a "sexual-education for young people (5-30) workshop" and I'm therefore very interested in gaining more experience in that working field. E-mail me at so071015@gmail.com (PLEASE CONTACT WEBMASTER TO UPDATE E-MAIL ADDRESS)
